The WGL Team
Heads, hands,
Hearts
Behind every home, every project, and every initiative are dedicated people who care deeply and act with care and commitment. Some teams know the homes inside and out, while others think ahead about living spaces, plan for the future, or step in when necessary. Many tasks, one goal: to bring harmony to home and life.

Administration
Professional caregivers
In the housing industry, people with a sense of responsibility, tact, and organizational skills make all the difference. They reliably manage properties and communities, coordinate processes with foresight, and find sustainable solutions with a focus on service—for both tenants and owners.
This results in a noticeable reduction in everyday stress—with clear processes, reliable communication, and a sense of satisfaction for everyone involved.

Operating costs
People who keep track of things
The Operating Costs team consists of people who make numbers easy to understand and ensure that billing is transparent. They ensure that operating costs are billed in a way that is easy to follow.

WGL Service GmbH
People who make reliability visible
Service GmbH handles everything that needs to be measured, inspected, or repaired. This includes reading utility meters, replacing meters and smoke detectors, and installing new equipment. Caretakers and gardeners are also part of the team: they ensure that the buildings and outdoor areas are kept tidy, well-maintained, and fully functional. Everyone is regularly on the go, wears easily recognizable work clothes, and carries identification so that you always know who is at your door.

People who make connection possible

Modernization/Maintenance
People who think beyond the house
These teams work to improve buildings step by step, evaluate technical solutions, and oversee measures that ensure existing structures remain fit for the future. They plan, refine, and implement changes so that homes remain what they are meant to be: reliable places to live.

Project Development / New Construction
People who plan and execute
The New Construction Team develops new residential buildings with foresight and a sense of responsibility. From planning through construction to handover, they create sustainable living spaces tailored to a variety of lifestyles. They build sustainable and affordable homes for Leverkusen.

Education
People who help shape the future
Our trainees work alongside various teams, take on responsibilities early on, and contribute their own perspectives. Whether interacting with tenants, working on neighborhood projects, or handling organizational processes—they don’t just observe; they get involved. This helps them develop expertise, build confidence, and gain a solid understanding of how housing is organized in a city like Leverkusen.

Staff
People who create opportunities
WGL’s Human Resources department supports trainees, employees, and managers in all HR matters. It provides guidance from the start through to professional development, establishes clear structures, and promotes fair and respectful collaboration. Its mission: to create working conditions in which people are eager to take on responsibility and grow together.

Executive Management and Division Management
People who provide direction
The executive management and division heads set priorities, make decisions, and are responsible for the development of the portfolio. They take a long-term view and create the framework within which effective solutions can emerge.
