Commitment to Leverkusen
2026 Business Reception –
Working Together for a Strong Leverkusen
Once again this year, WGL was represented as one of the main sponsors at the Leverkusen Business Reception. At the Bayer Gastronomie casino, representatives from businesses, politics, associations, institutions, and the local community gathered to discuss current developments and the future of Leverkusen as a business hub. The business reception hosted by the Leverkusen Economic Development Agency once again provided an important platform for dialogue, networking, and new ideas.
As the city’s largest housing company, WGL is also a major economic player in Leverkusen. It creates and preserves housing, develops livable neighborhoods, and provides important impetus for the city through sustainable investments. In addition, WGL manages more than 90 commercial units with a total area of over 26,000 m², thereby strengthening the local economy.
With its new housing projects, WGL is consistently advancing residential development in Leverkusen: modern buildings, smart technology, and forward-looking concepts are designed to meet the housing needs of tomorrow. In this way, WGL takes responsibility for Leverkusen —as a reliable landlord, a committed urban developer, a strong neighborhood partner, and an attractive employer.
During the event, the Leverkusen-based company MionTec—which combines scientific research with industrial practice and develops innovative solutions for water treatment and resource efficiency—was awarded the Corporate Award. WGL extends its heartfelt congratulations to Sandra Lambertz and her team on this special honor and wishes them continued success.
