Living independently – living together

On Humboldtstraße in Opladen, we are building a residential building that offers older adults the opportunity to live independently while still enjoying the company of others. This new facility is designed for seniors who value their own living space but also want security, a sense of community, and support in their daily lives.

A total of 24 residential units will be built, along with three additional apartments that combine private retreat with communal living. Residents will have their own private apartments, while shared common areas will provide space for socializing, interaction, and group activities. The building will be designed to be barrier-free, enabling comfortable and safe living even for those with limited mobility. Nursing and care services are available as needed and provide support in daily life without restricting residents’ independence.

The result is a place that promotes social participation, prevents loneliness, and at the same time provides relief for family members. The residential building on Humboldtstraße adds an important social resource to the neighborhood and makes a valuable contribution to a community that is inclusive of all generations and a great place to live.
